He is originally from Fife, spent sometime in Edinburgh but has been drawn back to his roots in Fife again, where he now resides. James has been describes as ‘the strong silent type but on stage……. ‘ he’s a genial, laid-back conversationalist with a deadpan wit’… and ….’ reveals himself in his haunting, Celtic-flavoured songs. They eschew the storytelling style for a spare poetry, evoking romances set against a rugged backdrop of untamed nature’….
